Grow up Amnite A100 in water with added nutrients and aeration, (1kg of product in c.200 litres of water). 200 litres can treat some 300,000 plants in hydroponics and around 15,000 in run to waste. The product allows EC levels to be raised safely but the uptake of nutrients by the plants is likely to increase. The potassium, phosphorous and manganese levels in recirculating solution should be carefully watched. The process should be repeated weekly. Note that the product is not an alternative to existing fertiliser programmes but complements them. Amnite A100 is compatible with many fungicides and pesticides but it is not recommended that Amnite A100 is mixed with them. Amnite A100 can be mixed with fertilisers but not if the fertilisers are in a concentrate greater than 15-17%.
When diseases are present and Amnite A100 has not previously been used successful treatment has been achieved by use of the following regime:
For mature plants
- Raise EC levels to around 2
- Add phosphoric acid at the rate of 50-80 mls per 1000 litres of liquid volume in the circulation tanks.
- Leave recirculating for three to four hours.
- Add 200 litres of Amnite A100 (activated as shown above) to the circulation tank.
- Benefits of the treatment should be apparent after 24 hours.
For young plants : as above but keep EC level at about 1.6 - 1.65
NOTE: Amnite A100 is not a bio-control agent. Any reduction in pathogen attack is incidental to the action of the product as a plant growth enhancer probably due to the stimulation of the plant's systemic activated resistance (SAR) defence system.
