Reduction of petroleum hydrocarbon wastes

The lagoons should be dosed at the influent point of the waste stream. There must be a DO level within the lagoon of at least 2ppm. The appropriate product will normally be Amnite P300. Dosing levels will depend on the size of the lagoon, retention time and the reduction required in TOC levels. Reduction in BOD will also assist in achieving nitrification. See Nitrification. In large lagoons it will be more economic to use the product with a CBL Activation Unit.
